MSW, LCSW-A
I have worked with children and families in various capacity for over 25 years. I have over 15 years of experience working in mental and behavioral health.
Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I have always gravitated toward community work and outreach. I was drawn to behavioral health after realizing that not only was there a tremendous need for services in the African American community but that the stigmas with mental health impact both sides, accessing services, but also receiving quality care. In my career, I have been able to work with a variety of community based programs, including Intensive In- Home, Day Treatment, and two programs supporting youth in foster care.
I am a highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic, and solution-oriented mental health professional providing exceptional care and implementing effective treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience working with a diverse client population. Effective motivator, communicator, and advocate with inherent ability to manage all types of personalities, diffuse stressful situation, proactively resolve issues, and meet and achieve challenging goals and objectives.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and depression. I utilize CBT, TF-CBT, Solution Focus Therapy, Reality Therapy, Mindfulness, and Brainspotting.
